What is AfriSmartHome?

AfriSmartHome is a Cameroon-focused smart home and smart energy retail platform. The launch range includes Pemsmart portable power stations, solar panels, smart cameras, alarms, sensors, lighting, locks, switches, gateways and starter bundles.

Who are your products for?

Our products are selected for urban households, SMEs, landlords, property developers, schools, clinics, event organisers, diaspora-funded households, installers, B2B buyers and franchise stores that need practical backup power, smart security and connected-home solutions.

Are prices shown in FCFA?

Yes. Consumer-facing retail prices are shown in FCFA and are intended to be VAT-inclusive where VAT applies, unless a product page or quotation states otherwise. Approved B2B and franchise partner pricing may be shown differently after account approval.

Can I buy online and pick up locally?

The business model includes online ordering with showroom and franchise-store pickup as locations become active. Check the showrooms page or contact support before travelling to collect an item.

Products and setup

What product categories do you sell?

AfriSmartHome focuses on portable power, solar charging, smart security, smart lighting, smart living devices and accessories. This includes DPS Series and R Series power stations, solar panels, cameras, sirens, sensors, gateways, smart plugs, bulbs and automation products.

Are smart home products Tuya or Smart Life compatible?

Many smart home devices in the launch range are Tuya or Smart Life compatible. Product listings should state app and gateway requirements. If a device needs a Zigbee gateway, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or a specific setup step, check before buying or contact support.

Can AfriSmartHome help with installation?

Yes. The operating model includes an installer network for cameras, smart locks, lighting, gateways and larger power units. Installation availability, pricing and scheduling may vary by location.

Can I get help choosing a power station?

Yes. Portable power stations should be chosen by both battery capacity in Wh and output rating in W. For fridges, freezers, pumps, compressors or medical equipment, check running watts and startup surge before purchase.

Orders, warranty and support

What warranty applies?

Warranty terms are shown on the product listing or written quote. Many launch products are positioned with a 1 year warranty, but the exact warranty depends on the product and supplier terms. Keep your order confirmation, invoice or pickup record.

How do I report a faulty item?

Contact support with your order number, product name, serial number if available, photos or video of the issue, and a short description of the setup. Warranty claims should be logged quickly so the team can review, troubleshoot and escalate supplier claims where needed.

What if my order arrives damaged or incomplete?

Report delivery damage, missing accessories or a wrong item within 48 hours of delivery or pickup where possible. Keep packaging until the claim is reviewed.

How do B2B partners access wholesale prices?

B2B partners should register for account review through the B2B account route. Once approved, partner pricing can be shown when the approved user is logged in.

How do franchise partners apply?

Prospective franchise partners should complete the franchise application. Franchise approval depends on local selling capability, reputation, technical readiness, payment discipline and willingness to follow AfriSmartHome brand, pricing and reporting rules.

Do franchise stores have exclusive territories?

The launch strategy starts with controlled city or zone pilots. Exclusive territories should not be assumed unless confirmed in a written franchise agreement.

Safety and compatibility

Can a portable power station power my whole house?

Portable power stations are for selected plug-in loads, not improvised whole-home backfeed. Do not connect a power station to a wall socket, ring circuit or consumer unit using improvised leads. Fixed wiring and automatic transfer arrangements require competent electrical review.

Can I use a power station for medical equipment?

Do not treat a portable power station as a certified medical UPS or life-support power source. CPAP, oxygen equipment, pumps and other care equipment require device-specific checks and an appropriate care plan.
